Project Requirements
A few clear inputs.
Then we can design.
Formvate works remotely, so the project begins with reliable information about your workspace, how it is used, and what you need to resolve.
What we'll need
Enough information to understand the space remotely.
You do not need to create a technical presentation. The goal is simply to give us a reliable picture of the workspace and the decisions that need to be made.
Workspace photos
Clear current photos from multiple angles, including relevant walls, doors, windows and fixed elements.
Dimensions or an existing plan
Client-provided dimensions or an existing plan that gives enough information to develop the selected design scope.
How the workspace is used
Who uses it, what activities happen there, and which functions need to coexist.
Current challenges
Issues such as unclear zoning, movement conflicts, storage needs, light conditions, noise or product uncertainty.
Your priorities
What matters most for this project: spatial clarity, visual direction, product decisions, or selective workspace upgrades.
What to prepare
Keep it simple.
Three groups of information are usually enough to begin reviewing the workspace.
Space Basics
- Current workspace photos
- Client-provided dimensions or existing plan
- Doors, windows and circulation openings
- Fixed furniture or elements that must remain
How You Use It
- Team size and workspace users
- Focus work
- Calls and meetings
- Shared or support activities
- Storage requirements
Project Direction
- 2–4 visual references if useful
- Products or furniture that must stay
- Approximate purchasing budget if relevant
- Main decision priorities
Client fit
Remote design works best when the project fits the model.
Formvate is intentionally design-only. Clear expectations at the beginning make the project easier to scope and deliver.
Formvate may be a good fit if you
- Have a ready, pre-built or existing workspace.
- Need clearer layout, zoning, visual or product decisions.
- Are comfortable collaborating fully online.
- Can provide reliable dimensions and current photos.
- Want defined deliverables and a structured revision process.
- Plan to manage purchasing and local implementation separately.
Formvate may not be the right fit if you
- Need site visits or physical surveying.
- Need construction, permit or engineering drawings.
- Require contractor selection or project management.
- Need demolition or major construction planning.
- Require structural, plumbing or major electrical design.
- Expect unlimited revisions or ongoing open-ended design support.
A note on measurements
Remote design depends on client-provided information.
Formvate does not visit the workspace or independently verify dimensions on site.
Layouts and visual design decisions are therefore developed from the measurements, plans and photographs supplied by the client.
Any dimensions that affect purchasing, installation or local construction should be confirmed by the client, supplier or appropriate local professional before implementation.
