Service FAQ
Clear answers.
Clear boundaries.
Everything you need to know about how Formvate works, what each package includes, and where the design-only scope ends.
What exactly does Formvate do? +
Formvate provides remote, design-only workspace styling and planning. Depending on the selected package, this may include layout, zoning, circulation logic, 3D visualization, curated product direction, and non-invasive upgrade guidance.
What does Formvate not do? +
Formvate does not provide site visits, physical surveys, construction or permit drawings, structural or MEP engineering, contractor management, or site supervision.
Can you work directly with my contractor or supplier? +
Direct contractor or supplier coordination is not included in the standard packages. You receive organized design deliverables that can be shared with your local team.
Any technical interpretation, site verification, installation method or construction decision remains the responsibility of the appropriate local professional.
How long does a project take? +
Working design-time estimates are:
- Tier 1 — approximately 5–7 business days
- Tier 2 — approximately 7–12 business days
- Tier 3 — approximately 10–15 business days
Timing begins after the required workspace information is received and the project scope is confirmed. Client feedback time can affect final delivery.
How many revisions are included? +
Each package includes 1–2 revisions within the agreed project scope. Additional revisions can be quoted separately.
A major change to workspace size, function, approved layout direction or project brief may require a scope reassessment rather than being treated as a revision.
Do I need to complete Tier 1 before choosing Tier 2? +
No. You can select the package that matches the level of design support you need.
Tier 2 already includes the spatial foundation work required before its 3D and product deliverables are developed. Tier 3 similarly includes the Tier 2 design depth before adding non-invasive upgrade strategy.
Can I implement the design locally? +
Yes. Formvate is designed for remote design and local implementation. Clients can use the final package to guide purchasing or share the design intent with their local team.
The final package is not a substitute for technical construction documentation or site verification where those are required.
Do you recommend specific products? +
It depends on the package.
- Tier 1 includes product logic and category guidance by zone, but not a purchase-ready product list by default.
- Tier 2 includes specific curated, purchase-ready product references and compatibility notes.
- Tier 3 includes the same product depth as Tier 2, plus non-invasive upgrade direction.
Formvate does not manage purchasing, order placement or procurement within the standard packages.
Do you use affiliate links? +
Some product references may use affiliate links, trade programs or other disclosed supplier relationships.
Product inclusion should remain based on relevance to the workspace, not solely on whether a commission is available. Commercial relationships are disclosed where applicable.
What measurements do I need to provide? +
Formvate needs usable client-provided dimensions or an existing plan for layout-based design work, together with current photographs of the workspace.
Formvate does not independently verify measurements on site. Dimensions affecting purchasing, installation or construction should be confirmed locally before implementation.
What happens if my workspace changes during the project? +
Small refinements can normally be handled through the included revision process. Significant changes to room size, function, fixed conditions or the agreed brief may require a revised scope, timeline or quote.
Who owns the final design files? +
The client receives the final project deliverables for the agreed project use.
Formvate retains ownership of its internal methodology, reusable frameworks, templates and proprietary working systems. Any detailed intellectual-property terms should follow the project agreement or Terms of Service.
Is Formvate a sustainability or wellness certification service? +
No. Sustainability, wellbeing and biophilic thinking are used as design lenses where relevant; they are not separate certification, audit or consulting services.
Formvate does not provide LEED certification, WELL certification, environmental testing or independent product certification.
Who is Formvate best suited for? +
Formvate is best suited to ready, pre-built and existing workspaces that need clearer spatial, visual, product or non-invasive upgrade decisions.
It is less suitable for shell-and-core projects, major renovations, complex engineering scopes, or projects requiring continuous on-site management.
