Before you start
Clear inputs.
Clearer design.
A straightforward overview of what Formvate needs from you, what the remote process includes, and what stays outside our design scope.
What we need from you
Enough information to understand the space remotely.
You do not need to prepare a technical presentation. We need clear, usable information about the existing workspace and your priorities.
Workspace information
The type of workspace, how it is currently used, and the people or activities it needs to support.
Client-provided dimensions
Basic room measurements or an existing plan, including relevant doors, windows and fixed elements.
Current photos
Clear photographs showing the workspace from enough angles to understand its existing conditions.
Your experience of the space
What feels unclear, distracting or difficult in daily use — including movement, light, sound or storage where relevant.
Priorities + feedback
Clear goals at the start and consolidated feedback during the included revision process.
Shared responsibility
Remote design works best when the information is reliable.
Formvate makes design decisions based on the information provided. Client and studio responsibilities therefore need to stay clear.
You provide
- Accurate workspace dimensions to the best of your knowledge
- Current photos and relevant existing plans
- Correct information about fixed elements and constraints
- Project priorities and relevant functional requirements
- Consolidated feedback within the revision process
Formvate provides
- Design analysis based on the submitted information
- The spatial and visual deliverables included in your selected package
- Product direction or purchase-ready references where included
- Clear scope boundaries and organized final files
- 1–2 revisions within the agreed project scope
What to expect
A structured design process rather than open-ended consultation.
Each package has a defined purpose, deliverables and revision allowance so the project can move from workspace information toward an approved design direction.
Project fit
The model works best for the right type of workspace.
Formvate may be a good fit if
- You have a ready, pre-built or existing workspace.
- You need clearer layout, zoning, product or upgrade decisions.
- You are comfortable working through an online design process.
- You can provide reasonably accurate dimensions and workspace photos.
- You plan to manage purchasing and local implementation separately.
Formvate may not be the right fit if
- Your project begins as shell-and-core or requires major construction.
- You need structural, electrical, plumbing or major MEP design.
- You require permit or construction documentation.
- You need contractor management or on-site supervision.
- You need unlimited revisions or continuous on-call design support.
Scope boundaries
What Formvate does not provide
- No site visits or physical surveys
- No on-site measurement verification
